Join Outside Now mentor, Lily Begler, as she teaches the craft of pine needle basketry. This beautiful style of basketry has been used for thousands of years by many Native peoples wherever pine trees grow. Learn about the different pines of our region and which pines work best for basket making. We will learn how to collect and clean pine needles and use these to create a lovely small basket. Students will be able to continue making baskets at home with this abundant natural material.
