Tadpole Summer Camps

2025 Summer Nature Camps for Ages 3 - 5

Summer is when the children go barefoot and their hearts are just as free as their toes.

At Tadpole Camps, our littlest campers will have adventures on the land, engage in creative outdoor play, try out crafting with the raw materials that nature provides, sing and move along with whimsical songs, play active games, enjoy storytelling and acting out stories, and more! We like to keep our mentor/child ratio small to create a cozy community, so spaces are limited. Parent participation is always welcomed, but not required.

Forts and Fairy Houses!

JUNE 23 - JUNE 27, 2025

Ages: 3 - 5

Mentors: TBA

Let's get building! We’ll find secret hiding spots under the trees and bushes; gather sticks, leaves, long grass and treasures. Then, we’ll invite our friends (and also the gnomes and the fairies) to the shelters we create for ourselves and for them! Our imaginations and our developing sense of belonging in the natural world will inspire games, stories, nature crafts, shelter-building, and more!

Animal Games!

JULY 07 - JULY 11, 2025

Ages: 3 - 5

Mentors:  TBA

Let’s head out to where the animals go...down the creek, up a tree, out in the hills, and into the fields to look for tadpoles and frogs, grasshoppers and ladybugs, lizards and snakes, crows and hawks. What other animals live at El Chorro? We will creep and sneak and catch up with them, if we can! Games, stories, and crafts will be inspired by local animals and how they live.

Earth Art!

JULY 14 - JULY 18, 2024

Ages: 3 - 5

Mentors:  TBA

Let's make something! Bows and arrows; weavings and wands all start with a good stick! Nature provides the materials for endless creativity: mud, stones, sticks, seeds, leaves, grasses, bark, berries, and more. Found objects will inspire our nature crafts, games, stories, and creative play. We’ll hike and gather and create together with our summer friends.
